We ran a pop up shop in 2011 and 2012, in partnership with the charity Healthy Planet, who work with commercial landlords that have empty units to make good use of the premises until they find a paying tenant.

We ran the Books for Free project from the shop, where books that would otherwise go to landfill were distributed and did all kinds of other things while we had it:

• evening meetings,
• elderflower and jam workshops,
• a homemade cider fuelled cosy winter social,
• a cutting edge art exhibition,
• a pop up Fairtrade cafe.

Thanks to all who donated things for the shop, thanks for the lovely conversations we had with people who dropped in, and thanks to Penny, our amazing shop manager, and all the volunteers who kept it open. We couldn’t have done it without you!
