We had a companionable guerrilla gardening group session in the warm evening sun at Kentish Town Fire Station this evening.
We pulled up the daffodil bulbs from spring and put them in retirement, and planted lots of lavender, thyme and rosemary in the stone planters. We’re hoping they will weather the hot summer months without needing too much attention. We encircled the herb plants with nasturtium seeds, which should look nice when they come up.

The firemen were good humoured as ever and let us use their hose to water the planters.

Next Friday, we’re going to put a few more herbs in the pots and tackle the neglected hanging baskets outside the station. Come along for a bit if you fancy it. Bring a trowel! 6pm, Friday 27th May. Kentish Town Fire Station, Highgate Road.
