The elderflowers are just beginning to come out in gardens and hedges around Kentish Town, their sharp sweet scent the very essence of early summer days. The elder tree, once regarded as one of the most magically powerful of all plants, has an amazing variety of uses.

In this workshop, we will explore some of the folklore, medical and food uses of elder, with a particular focus on making elderflower drinks.
